Well this felt like a slog to finish. Don't get me wrong, this sure was a game that really went all out at the start with some gorgeous sprite art, thumping music and some memorable moments... But as the game went on, issues just kept popping up.

A lack of enemy variety is a big drain. This is a problem in a lot of beat em ups but I really felt it here thanks to portions of the game that pretty much demanded grind for exp and cash to stand a chance against later bosses.... And that's the issue with this game. The grind. It's just not fun replaying the same few mooks over and over just to get enough money for the Dojo moves.

It's annoying as when the game wants to shift into gear, it's an absolute blast thanks to its style, boss designs and good weighty battles all making for a punch fest to remember... It's such a shame the grind between those moments hurt it so much.
