Even in the mascot platformer craze around this time High Seas Havoc kinda sticks out as bootleg-feeling due to art style similarities with Sonic, but actually the game is pretty solid. Graphics are great, music's great, etc. Towards the end though, it starts to get really unfair. The last three worlds all kind of blow chunks, and I had to bring it down a point. No reason to skip this one though if you have higher bullshit tolerance than I do, it's not quite a hidden gem but it's both overlooked and pretty decent. Which was more than I expected initially, so all in all I'm pleasantly surprised.
