Still genuinely cannot believe this game came out as good as it did. It’s not perfect (there are some egregious moments of padding here and there) but I’m genuinely impressed with just how much they managed to properly translate and improve upon. I’m not the most objective person on the planet when it comes to this game though, like three notes of Aerith’s theme played in chapter two and I absolutely lost my mind over it. Again.
