Wow what a solid game ! easily my favorite Golden Axe now.
I really don't understand why this game is forever stuck in the arcades as it was never ported to consoles and its a big shame because this game is very fun!. First the game looks great I really like how this game looks making each level fun to play through.
The cast is different which I thought I wasn't going to like that much at first but I honestly didn't mind since I found each character to be fun to play with. One thing I enjoyed is how specific characters magic spells can actually be useful in different scenarios like one characters magic spell drops apples for heals really showing that this game should be played with 2 people ( any beat em up should be played with 2 people loool).
The bosses were fine but I found it oddly easy as I quickly found cheese to get them stuck in corners and do a lot of damage to them with the sprint kick. I did enjoy the Adder fight a lot in this game though it was the best Adder fight in the series by a landslide.
One thing I also found good was how each level has branching paths making for some sweet replayability if you choose to do multiple playthroughs.
All in all this the best Golden axe game and a great arcade game. Sad this never saw the day of light on any other platform because so many people are missing out on this gem!
