This is the unity recreation of the classic post-modern game-deconstruction game The Stanley Parable. The original game was rife with philosophical jokes, constant plays on the very idea of itself, and had a lot of creative humour around the nature of video game logic at a time when meta narratives were quite rare.

While all of that has been lovingly recreated in unity the new content feels more cliché than commentary. The original did clever parodies and subverted expectations, while the new content just kinda... is the thing it's trying to make fun of.

While I think the unity remake certainly looks nicer, the original is probably still the superior version. That said you're getting that in a more stable form here and the new content isn't offensive so it's worth picking up if you're going to give it a try.
