I found the pyromancer's starting axe from dark souls 1, used it on boiler robots with the same attacks as the turtle knights from dark souls 2, and then reached the cathedral area from dark souls 3.
I didn't think I would play a game even more shameless and bereft of new ideas than Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, but wow. There's never been a better time to be playing video games.

@blazing i played a bit more and got ludwig's holy blade and the wolf greatsword, then encountered a boss with two health bars who's a mutated archbishop. the originality knows no bounds
also the theme music for that fight is just Duel of the Fates, which had me laughing my ass off

yea i dont think the game having stuff similar to other games is bad.
im chill on just taking stuff; i love mash up genre of music; it's all down to the individual though if they think they did enough to make new art out of recycled elements.

The game is definitely similar to darks souls and blood borne but Its own identity. Theres lots of cool things unique to this game like handle combination system. I feel like giving the game a one star just because its a soulslike that is similar to souls is too harsh.
@apairoftimbs The blade/handle system is interesting but very flawed and exploitable. Because the movesets, stamina usage, and scaling are all tied to handles, with blades just determining damage and reach, there's no reason to not just attach big blades to fast handles and then adjust their scaling to whatever you have the most points in. This also means str/dex doesn't really matter because you're using the same weapons either way. I put the saw blade (wow, wonder where I've seen that before!) on the curved sword handle and I was demolishing everything.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to Lords of the Fallen, which seems like it has more of an actual identity. If I had paid actual money for this game I would be pissed.
