The hype is real. I've been a fan of JRPG's for decades, but unfortunately didn't get to this one until 2022 and so there are no nostalgia glasses here. There is just so much style and polish to every aspect of this game.

Amazing RPG. If you can, play the PC version of this first entry because it maintained a more ISO / CRPG feel than later entries (which were designed with consoles in mind and ported back to PC).

Amazing from any angle. Great as a CRPG, great as an entry into the Star Wars Lore / Saga. Laid the groundwork for Bioware's choice-based polarized character dynamic.

This game is amazing... visuals, gameplay, music. Everything I could want from a JRPG being a long-time fane of the genre and the classics. For me, it rates right up there with the best classics of the genre (CT, FF6 etc.)

I thoroughly enjoyed this game, it is far better than the reputation it has gained among series fans. The final tower / end game is very fun, and my complaint is that it was not until there that I really had learn how to optimize switching paradigms to progress through the game. This made the game more fun at this stage, though the music, visuals and story were good throughout.
