There are great bones here but even with all of its updates it still manages to feel a bit half-baked. Villagers don't have enough dialogue, the store is too small, and I feel like I've seen all the interesting furniture it has to offer. Still, it's Animal Crossing, and many of its new features are interesting and worth playing around with, so at least it does its job as a comfort game.
