I have now begun my Kirby marathon. My "Kirbython" if you will.

Most long running franchises don't have first games that hold up super well, but Kirby is one of the few exceptions. It's super short yeah but it's also just super replayable. It may not have a lot of the iconic elements the series is known for yet but it's a huge stepping stone not only for the Kirby franchise, but the GameBoy as a whole. Super charming and fun.

This playthrough was also the first time I've ever played Extra Mode and the enemies are so unfairly cartoonishly aggressive that its honestly fucking hilarious.
