I am aware that almost every game I've played for this account so far have been games that are personal favorites of mine, but I can't help it. I like playing games that I like!

...I mean what do you want me to say that hasn't already been said?? Pizza Tower is literally a perfect video game. One of the best soundtracks in gaming, possibly my favorite pixel art style in any video game ever, speedy platforming so fast it'll turn your bones into accordions, free dlc that adds a new playable character, it's surprisingly really really funny, oh yeah also ALL of it is themed around my favorite food of all time too??? Pizza Tower feels like it was meticulously manufactured to appeal to literally EVERY SINGLE one of my personal sensibilities. Like this was a piece of media made just for me and me only. I am OBSESSED with this fuckin game, dude. It's incredible to me how this game took that inspiration from Wario Land, and COMPLETELY SURPASSED EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THOSE GAMES. Pizza Tower makes it look so effortless. If the Wario Land series never comes back and Pizza Tower takes it's place, I think I'll be okay with that. One of my new favorite video games of all time, and I MEAN IT

Finally, I can review a game on here that's not Mario or Kirby.

Y'know for being an indie studio's VERY FIRST GAME, they really made something special here. Though I guess it shouldn't be too surprising considering a lot of these people worked on Sonic Mania. Penny's Big Breakaway isn't TOO too ambitious, but what it does provide is really fun. Yeah the game has got some kinks to work out, like the oodles of glitches and some aspects of the presentation not being fully polished. Oh yeah and also I noticed that this game barely has any enemies at all??? Maybe they wanted to focus more on the PURE UNFILTERED speed and platforming, but it came off as really distracting to me. I feel as though some enemy interactions could've freshened up the gameplay a little bit. But who even cares about that when Penny is this fun to control? When the visuals are as vibrant and colorful as they are? WHEN THE SOUNDTRACK IS THIS INCREDIBLE LIKE ARE YOU KIDDING ME????

Penny's Big Breakaway is a really addicting and replayable 3D platformer and I sincerely hope that we get a sequel sometime in the near future

Well, I've beaten Kirby And The Forgotten Land

My Kirby Marathon is finally over...

And MAN what a game to end on. You know your video game franchise is absolutely fantastic when your FIRST attempt at a 3D platformer is no holds barred one of the best games in the entire genre. This is an incredible triumph for the Kirby series and I seriously cannot wait for whatever they have in store next. I love this series with all of my heart and I will be waiting with baited breath
