lol i submitted the european/japanese cover on igdb and i was straight up fucking rejected by an admin

For some reason IGDB, the site Backloggd uses for photos, prefers NA official artwork only, even if other regions are far superior.

I tried using IGDB but it was a pretty bad experience. I saw that the Xbox version of Serious Sam didn't have it's own listing, as it was under platforms for Serious Sam The First Encounter. The Xbox release is significantly different, with tons of changes to the character models and HUD, among changes to accommodate the Xbox controller and an entirely different story including FMV cutscenes. It also combines The First Encounter and The Second Encounter into one game. I put up the listing and it was going well, though I was asked to upload another image like six times even though the previous ones were in the resolution parameters. Then I got word that it was being approved by an admin, and it said it was up! I looked for it but couldn't find it... and a few days later I checked it again and apparently an admin took it down? I filled out every applicable box and described why this game should have it's own listing, so I don't know what I did wrong.

this is a really long-winded way of saying that IGDB is kinda weird from my experience

it's so annoying how adamant they seem to be about using the na box art and being na-centric with their website even when it's detrimental like in the case of ico and sotn
