Have you wondered what it would be like to be an insect? To scour for food everyday? To flee from predators because you have no hope of defeating them? To fear rain itself? It's a concept foreign to us humans, but is daily routine for 99% of life on planet Earth.
Rain World is unforgiving. Much like nature it cares little for you. This won't be for everyone. But for others Rain World creates an ecosystem & feeling of survival so convincing it's hard not to be entirely absorbed.

Unremarkable. The attack options are limited. The enemy variety is lacking. The art style is so-so. The game practically encourages cheesing enemies over-and-over with the shoulder charge due to how poorly considered the combat is.
Golden Axe was a pretty faithful arcade-to-console port. It added an extra level to stand out from the arcade original. Even so, as a beat 'em up fan, I can't think of a reason to revisit Golden Axe. It's a primitive, mostly boring arcade conversation. Perfectly playable, but tepid.

It's astounding Sonic was marketed as fast when Labyrinth Zone might be the slowest level I've ever played. While it's technically impressive and has some good music, the level design is too woefully inconsistent for Sonic to be heralded as some great game.

Not terrible, but not the flagship title for the Mega Drive like SEGA hoped. The Mega Drive has many, many better games, such as Sonic's own direct sequel.

Conversion of an arcade shmup of the manga, Area 88. Adds some new planes, unique character traits, a non-linear mission structure, and an absolutely obnoxious amount of grinding. Never have I had to grind in a shmup before, until here.
Least the pixel art of the Area 88 manga characters is pretty nice.
