this game is absolutely fucking necessary to understand alternative if you skip this you are an actual subhuman

Every part of this game is extremely fun to go through and the areas all have a distinct feel to them. The last battle is probably the best combat sequence to come from a half life game

This game is incredibly short and doesn't add anything that wasn't shown in the original game its gameplay is great as expected from the half life series but that doesnt make it good enough to the live up to its predecessor
