Sonic Superstars feels like Sega saw the success of Sonic Mania, tried to replicate what made it great, but failing halfway through. Resulting in a game that feels like a mix between Sonic Mania and Sonic 4.
The game-feel is great, but the later stages (especially the bosses) range from average to horrible. The music made by Tee Lopes is incredible, especially zone 2 act 1. But the ones by Senoue are crap.

It's a shame that this game is so underrated, it took me so much time to get into it because its art direction made it look like a generic shovelware for kids. The truth is that it's probably one of the best games I ever played in my life. If you love puzzle games such as The Witness you will definitely love Toki Tori 2.
