Mario Odyssey is a GOOD game. However not the best 3D Super Mario game
It had potential to be something really good with loads of things you could do but ultimately the gameplay features within Super Mario Odyssey is not used enough and in most cases the unique things behind the game only gets used 1-2 times within the whole game.
The things that I witnessed within the worlds of this game I'm reminded of Mario Galaxy in ways and how Galaxy did some of this first.
Mario Odyssey attempts to be it's own game towards the beginning stages but once Cappy comes along the world design/level design is influenced by other 3D mario games this starts to downgrade what we are playing considering it's trying to be original.
Opens the door to a lot of potential greatness in future 3D Mario games however this is NOT my favorite 3D Mario game and gets TOO much praise.
I did really enjoy it however.
