Best Final Fantasy, hands down.

An incredible single-dev effort that kicked off the "indievania" craze with its delightful sprite work, non-linear progression, multiple endings, well-hidden secrets, and surprisingly heartfelt story. Its physics are remarkably balanced for keyboard-based play, too.

If you played Deadly Premonition and loved it and are looking for more, this is 5 stars. If you don't like deadly premonition this is 2 stars. I find the characters and world very charming, and it's made me laugh out loud more than any game I can think of.
