At its current state, this is not a game I would recommend to anyone who has never played an MMO, or to anyone in general really
I never really got to experience the authentic pre-big bang MapleStory experience, but I somehow still managed to get attached to this game as an 11 year old playing it for the first time, post-big bang.

I have really good memories of playing this with my friend back when I was like 12 or 13, it's a pretty generic MMORPG with any flaws you might find in one, but I hold it close to my heart

This game is a wonderful, relaxing, wholesome and fairly introspective experience. A short one at that, but genuinely amazing.
Every little interaction made me smile, every time I helped a character my heart filled with joy. It's a short game that feels like a long journey.
