2018

Great boomer shooter (quake esk). Great atmosphere and fun fast pasted action.

I got this game for free but have since bought it for several different friends.

For what it is, it's amazing. Battle people online with dozens of different formats. Plus, it has a lot of related info on smogon which makes things a lot easier for newer players.

I wish there was an official app for android. I know I can just play on browser on my phone but an app would make things a lot smoother.

Frankly, I don't know if I like H3 or H2 more but I played this more.

I have great memories of 4 shoting people on multiplayer and playing co op with friends and family.

Still mostly holds up today

I really like pokemon and I think this is the best game of the series.

Has little handholding compared to the new games but has most of the quality of life changes that the old games lack.

Surprisingly mechanically deep. Everything is great about this game except:

1) the competitive community is stupidly toxic to new players. I tried several times and EVERYTIME there was someone on my team cursing me out for being bad. Maybe I am bad but that isn't the point. Just not a good time.

2) Casual Matchmaking is riddled with hackers.

Thankfully, there is a work around for the hacking situation. Play community servers. Valve clearly doesn't care about its hacking problem so go somewhere people do care. Community servers ban everyone who has used hack on the server.

This review sounds super negative but just realize that this game is so great that I'd give it 5 stars despite the problems I have listed :D

It's not just pokemon tbh. Great party based rpg that is very strategy gocused.

At the time of review I have 191.5 hrs on steam but this just scratches the surface. I've played it a ton on Switch along with earlier versions on the Vita.

One of my favorite games of all time. I love the art and the gameplay. Plus, you can play co op over the internet with steam remote play.

Frankly, this is a game I will always come back too.

I've played quite a few rounds of Super Auto Pets on android and it's pretty fun for a phone game.

It seems like there is a developing meta which is always neat to see, especially for a relatively simple game. However, I am sort of bored with it for now. Maybe I'll pick it up again later.

For those that are afraid it is "pay to win" because it has paid dlc, no need to worry. It seems people who have the dlc play against only other people who have the dlc.

16.7hrs played by the time of review

Pretty fun mechanically but kinda becomes the same thing over and over.

There is a variety of guns but they all feel mostly the same.

This game is so good. One of the only games that is simple enough for anyone to pick up but has so much depth that people are still playing it competitively 20 years after its release. A game design marvel.

This is the best vr game ive played.

The only real con is there really is only one game mode (take and hold) that has substance to it that I enjoy. This is a VERY light con though as take and hold is super fun and very replayable.

The dev , Anton Hand, is always adding new things and fixing problems that might come up. Every friday, Anton releases a devlog to his youtube channel and usually pushes a beta build to steam. New features can range from quality of life changes like hand filtering to combat the shakiness of quest 2 poorer tracking to grappling hook guns.

I highly recommend this game. If you are on the fence, look up “take and hold h3vr” on youtube to get a feel for what the meat and potatoes of this game.
