ONE MORE GOD REJECTED

If Nocturne excels in one thing, it's the mood. Its atmosphere is top notch and remains so at all times, even when you are fighting Featuring Dante from the Devil May Cry series. The world feels empty yet alive somehow. The story also has this tone and has really well presented moments for all characters and their reasons.

Probably because it uses one of my demons, Random Encounters. They have no excuse for still doing this on PS2, they're simply not fun to deal with and I'm surprised it took Atlus until Persona 3 to get rid of them. Maybe people think they are hardcore, but they're really just annoying. The Kagatsuchi system is pointless outside this. It influences what you get from chests but you can just run in a circle and always get the desired items. While we're here, RNG negotiations and non-choosable fusion inheritance. Also some negotiation skills would be okay but there is too many of them for something you only do sometimes.

Nocturne is still an adventure. Will I ever replay it? Unsure, but I'm glad I played it at all.
