YO IS THAT A MOTHR FUCKING PERSONA 5 REFERENCE!?
Improves on P4's combat and Confidant skills are an improvement on the non-party SLs having more of a purpose. The story fires on all cylinders at the start, the Kamoshida arc is one of Persona's best, but then it continually dips in quality after and never fully recovers, even with Futaba and Sae, and by the end you just stop caring and stay for the combat and tunes. Still has tons of redundant scenes like with SUI Agent and the constant text conversations alongside repetitive confidant structure (some are still good though, and All Good Tora avoids this problem altogether), and just plain bad stuff like the infamous Cat Arc or Goro n' Shido's WORST SCENE IN THE GAME where they discuss how evil they are.
I'm also not into these designed dungeons compared to P3 and P4's randomly generated corridors. It's a minority opinion, but it's still one I hold and keeps me from replaying 5 over 4G. Despite it all, the day to day, calander management, visual style oh my god, combat, and tunes still make this a great game.
But Chihiro's not in this game so it can't truly be a masterpiece, but it's still good!
