The only two issues I really felt like I had with this game were the story (and more so the ending), and the character of Arno. They both just feel a bit out of place, like the story wasn't really going anywhere, but I did at least feel like at certain points I was starting to like the character, and then nearer the end of the game there was a switch and everything just went out the window.

Those things aside, I feel like this game was trying new things whilst trying to stay faithful to what it had been.

The movement was better by being able to freerun up or down, which meant that generally Arno always moved where you were meaning him to, which is a first for many of the Assassin's Creed games.

Even the combat, I understand why some people don't like it especially when having played the previous games but I think it actually worked pretty well. It had a good balance between tougher combat for those who wanted it, while still allowing those who wanted to assassinate everyone to do so by clever use of the smoke bombs.

This game still wasn't for everyone, but for people who actually liked the assassin part of assassin's creed, i'd definitely recommend it.

Really enjoyable to play, until you get blasted four or more games in a row and you wonder if you should have just played something else instead.

I probably wouldn't play this on my own and while it is viable to do so, it just feels like the game is built perfectly to play with others. The small lulls inbetween running towards clues or bosses give perfect amounts of time to relax and talk, while the tense moments like fighting a team make you concentrate to make sure you haven't wasted your time running across the map.

My only two issues are really that losing hunters isn't really that big of a deal, you think it would be when you start playing but you just get a new one so it isn't really that bad. And the prestige system doesn't really seem worth it, but maybe that's just me. Other than that, overall, a really enjoyable game.

The overall story is great, with many different endings for sidequests, character quests and even the main story quest.

Fun combat with multiple different skills, weapons and armour pieces to choose from to help build a character that plays exactly how you want them to. Combat can get a bit repetitive, and while the game does have some good difficulty settings to make fights harder, certain builds can be quite broken and will make the game feel no different.

Really fun to play with friends or alone. I'd also recommend adding some mods and trying some different playstyles.

A perfect game to play while watching or doing something else.

I'd say the early game is good because you are nearly always levelling the low skills, which means you can be constantly doing new things to level or going to new places, and even then you can mostly skip a lot of the early game by strategic quest completion so you really can just do whatever you want in a way.

Mid to end game skill levelling is incredibly grindy, but finally getting a skill to a certain level to do a quest or being a high enough level for PVP or PVM content is worth it in the end.

I'd also say the inclusion of ironman and group ironman modes make the game even better if you like that type of thing. It certainly adds onto the grind, but in return it makes everything mean more. Actually having to work for your items rather than just buying them instantly makes everything you do more worthwhile.
