This is the third and last game of the Trails in the Sky trilogy. Goes without saying but playing the first two chapters/games is a must before starting this one.

3rd is easily the weakest link in the Trails in the Sky trilogy due to the way the game is setup. The game is essentially one giant dungeon with seven different levels/areas. While the new setting is a welcome addition to break up the layout set in the first two games, it gets old towards the middle/end of the game. This game is also the most challenging out of the trilogy and it becomes a bit tedious having to care for the large amount of party members by ensuring they have decent weapons, armors, quartz slots, orbments, accessories, and keep up with your main characters in terms of leveling.

With that being said, gameplay and combat system remains fun, soundtrack is great once again and graphics are slightly improved over the two previous games. The strongest point of the game is, once again, the fantastic character development and world building. Overall this is a great JRPG that should not be skipped if you care about the Legend of Heroes games.
