This was my first proper entry into the Far Cry series and loved it despite playing this on the OG PS3 version which had some performance issues. Despite what a lot of "gamers" say, I enjoy the so-called Ubisoft open-world formula set in these Far Cry games of unlocking the map via radio tower activations, collectibles scattered throughout the map, plenty of side missions, liberating outposts, etc.

The setting, characters, and story are cheesy, but I feel it's part of the game's profile. Gunplay and light RPG elements of crafting your own equipment and unlocking skills is fun.
