A disappointing attempt from Sony to create something that could rival the Smash Bros series.

The game is not terrible but it does lack the fun factor and overall polish that Nintendo is able to create with the Smash series. The roster is a bit on the disappointing side considering beloved PS1 era mascots like Crash and Spyro and missing (likely due to licensing but they should have at least made an attempt to have them on board).

As a first attempt, I guess it was a noble effort but the problem is Sony does not seem interested at all in following this up with a sequel.

I believe they did try to get Crash and Spyro, but Activision asked for way too much money from their already small budget. It sucks in a lot of ways, but I'm also wondering why this game, that should've been a bigger deal, wasn't given a lot to money in the first place. Though small budget or not, the ways they tried to shake up the platforming fighter genre wasn't the great to begin with.
