Great gameplay combined with a surprisingly good story, although a bit predictable. The game was a bit of a Metroidvania, which I wasn't a big fan of. In addition, the enemy variety was lacking.

"A bit" is the keyword here. The game has progression locked to certain abilities, so you must explore more (either on the same planet or a different planet) to unlock those abilities in order to progress. It's definitely not the primary genre of this game, and I'm sorry if you thought that.
