A really enjoyable 3d platformer. I enjoyed playing through it a lot for the first time.
Pros:
Mixes up the different things you do for collectables a fair amount
The no loading times gimmick works well, at least on ps3
Very interesting art choice for all but about 3 or so characters

Having the 2 other characters follow you from hub area to hub area
quick reloading after death
Cons:
daxter in general was an annoying character although I like his design after the beginning of the game
some other character designs, mainly the women are weird looking
The game feels fairly sparce with only about 12 passive npcs
The villains are barely in the game with about a paragraph of dialogue before death
Heaven help the person who wants to 100% this. Its too bad they never made any sequels. I'm sure they would have been edgy ones that crib mechanics from any other popular games around but worse anyway. ;)
