This game has set a new standard for me in the RPG sphere. Insanely in depth, choice actually mattering, an amazing cast of characters, fantastic writing... you name it. I can't remember the last time I cared enough about what happened in a game's story that I save scummed a bit here and there, probably The Witcher 3. I'm a big fan of D&D and already familiar with the system (and lore) so from that standpoint it was really awesome to see.

I think every few years you have a game come out and you just think "wow, that was special." This is one of those times. I'm already thinking about my first replay, and I never replay games! I believe I may have found a new favorite game of all time, it's just so rare for a game to strike this many boxes with me. Never would have expected it out of a CRPG.

If I had a complaint other than the bugs which is obvious, I found combat to be extremely easy after a certain point, but that's probably due to my experience with D&D. I had an omega powerful party with my Druid PC, Karlach, Lae'Zel, and Shadowheart #girlsgetitdone. The Act 3 story boss fights were extremely disappointingly easy compared to a certain side boss and the boss of Act 2.

Either way, I already can't wait for more Larian offerings in the world of the Forgotten Realms.
