I like this game more than hollow knight come at me.

But real talk this is the best possible way Metroid could have made a comeback. It's an extremely smooth, fast paced game with some of the best bosses I have fought in a 2d game and a really fun world to explore. Also I really appreciate the fixing to Samus' character after Other M did her badly.

Overall a well done conversion of a classic. Yeah, there is screen crunch and the music is a bit compressed, but it doesn't ruin the experience that much, the game is still one of the best 2D platformers of all time.

This is a masterpiece that dethroned my favorite game of all time: Super Metroid!

I put 12 hours into Dread & it feels like a good mix of Fusion & Samus Returns, with the former's atmosphere & the latter's more polished up cinematics/mechanics. I've waited 18 years & it did not disappoint me at all. It nailed all that it set out to do & more.

Absolutely the best Metroid game, it is not a competition.

This is Metroid 4, the sequel to Super Metroid. It fucks.
