Hands down the best Monster Hunter experience to date, polishing the systems introduced in World to be less tedious, removing alot of the MMOesque mechanics that existed solely to pad the game, and polishing the movement and combat to be both fluid and precise. All the charming weapon designs of the older games are back, the boring westernized weapons of World done away with, making it a joy to build new weapons for the sake of building them. The music is better than ever, sound effects and voices are all solid, and difficulty, while easier than before, should provide plenty of challenge for veterans and newcomers alike. My main issues with the game are all minor; gems for crafting decorations are only dropped as mission rewards, meaning farming them is really slow, and amulets meld at a rate of one per mission, though later on you can increase that to up to 3 per mission. Otherwise though, if you like the monster hunter formula, there's no reason not to get Rise.
