This is a tough one. On one hand, I love the destruction and mayhem, it's super fun and satisfying. On the other hand, the missions are all time-based and in the vein of a heist. I can see what the game wants you to do. Create a destructive path to complete the 'heist' as quickly as possible. However, due to how many of these types of missions there are it becomes quite repetitive. The game leads with a few levels of just destroying stuff and does sprinkle a few throughout the campaign here and there, and I think there it is at its peak.

But besides the lacking campaign, everything else is literally superb. Visually is fantastic. Well optimized considering the concept. The tools & vehicles feel amazing to use. And the game has good mod support so there's a massive canyon of fan-made content that you can play (some seriously impressive mods).

If I could add one thing, which already sort of roughly exists through mods, I would add NPCs. Whether they're enemies or just civilians, it would breathe a lot more life into the game.
So yeah. Mid campaign, good other-stuff.

If you wanted to search for a perfect game with a mix of beat-'em-up elements and that allows the freedom of open world, randomness and chaos, there is no perfect game aside from shadow of war. This game combines the adrenaline players feel when they discover something unique to them and the way that they play, utilising the nemesis system from shadow if murder in order to create personalised and deep roted stories, that are primarily driven by the player- many Batman arkham players would fall in live with the similarities between ther games and this one, with the combination of challenging and responsive gameplay that is used to push your gamer instincts into overdrive and to count each individual victory or defeat as a landmark worthy of remembrance. Now that the microtransactions have been removed, there is only the validity and reward of having worked so diligently that this game rewards the player. The difficulty, chaos and randomness is all balanced perfectly for anyone who follows murder and its lore, or simply and fantasy enjoyed would revel in the things this game has to offer, and I would rate it higher if I could

Honest to God, a gem of its time, what I concive to be a revolution in looters shooters that facilities a grind that always pays off in the end. Its unique set of graphics puts a few people off but I believe better highlights how hog-wild the game is and how much of a blast it is, whether you play solo or with friends. An iconic game that hooked me onto the looter shooter genre, where the bugs are hilarious when they happen, and the only downside is the UVHM mode, but only because it forces into viable builds and stifles creativity. Still one of my favourite games to date, even in light of its succession that is Borderlands 3

Straight away, I must note that this particular game has features that tick many of the boxes for what creates an enjoyable and re-playable experience, where the only downsides are where the bugs slow you down. The game gives you a relative freedom that is often absent from many game to date, and is a surprise why it had flown under the radar in the gaming industry, as such a game with unique features such as the ability to make each situation unique, as well as the ability to create characters that are always slightly different in many unique ways, to the skills they have to the way they look, and what you arm them with of course. The freedom of the game is there, but does not leave you in the dust, with its timely missions and bounties always giving you a list of things to do, with replayability skyrocketing after the new legacy pool update. Personally, one of the best experience of gaming I have had, with both friends and otherwise, it is a game that I frequently find myself coming back to for more... and it keeps on giving
