Has the same issue as many sequels to story-based games: Improvements in gameplay, graphics, and combat, but the story/characters IMO were not as good as its predecessor. The mom did a complete 180 and was willing to have her kids tortured? Some of the side characters were introduced too quickly to be believable. Also, not sure why everyone suddenly had British accents, I played this right after the first one and the difference was jarring.

That being said the VA's for Amicia and Hugo did an incredible job. The level design was a huge improvement, and I loved the score. While the pacing was off at times, I'm glad I finished because the ending made it worth it.

My monkey brain did too much side content and I got too burnt out to finish.

I like open world games. I don’t mind a grind as long as it’s enjoyable. But good god, I had already put a few dozen hours and I don’t think I was 1/3 of the way through. The leveling system is horrible. This was my first Ubisoft since Prince of Persia on PS2, and it makes me never want to play another title.
