This game was quite the departure from the PS1 game, but not in a bad way. If anything, this is the game many were probably expecting when you tell them a Ghost in the Shell game as you get to play as both Motako and Baato.

I can't quite remember the storyline, so bare with me, but you fight many other cyborgs and robots as you try to uncover a mystery that leads to a underground hidden facility.

As you play as the main characters, you not only run around in 3rd character and do all the kinds of acrobatics that they're capable of thanks to their cybernetic bodies, but you can even hack snipers to turn them on the enemies which is highly useful in certain missions. You can also perform other hacks to confuse the enemies and get the first hit in! The controls work great on the PS2 and I have very little to really think of as a negative against this game, then again I did stream it years ago.

The Fujikomas make their appearances too, being hilarious as usual, but also very useful when needed.

I was so glad I listened to my friend's advice and played this because it was a really good game and probably one of the better licenced titles I've played out there.
