What more can really be said about the best modern stealth games when the third entry in the World of Assassination trilogy still manages to reach the same heights as the first two games? Well, IO Interactive somehow still manages to innovate the formula in small but meaningful ways, with both the detective story of A Death in the Family and the tables-being-turned scenario of Apex Predator. Hell, the studio also manages to deliver on the narrative, concluding the conspiracy-laden plot that was set off in Hitman (2016) with major in-game and cinematic story beats for a satisfying end.

And for all the criticism IO got for the game's launch in connecting all three WoT games, they still deserve so much praise for eventually making it so you can have the whole package in one executable, with all the visual and mechanical upgrades of Hitman 3 applied to the earlier maps. What an incredible package of games.
