Crackhead-tier musical parallels
A list for weird musical connections between the music of videogames and the regular type you'd find in an average record store
The connection cannot be obvious, so something like "Burly Heart" from Guilty Gear XX ripping off Kashmir's guitar riff doesn't count.
Like the list says, it's parallels, not copying someone else's homework. Dig into your soul, feel the vibes and shit like that.
Most likely a stupid list, nevertheless, one I wanted to make for a while. Suggestions are most welcome, even if just to confuse someone

Sadly it doesn't, since it's the same melody. Still, thank you for making me discover Robert Miles and for making me realise this list needs clearer rules
Mother has TONS of Musical Parallels
- The Champs' "Tequila" is referenced in Earthbound's "Battle Against A Weak Opponent"
- The Beatles' "All You Need Is Love" is referenced in Earthbound's "Cross Over Time and Space"
- John Philip Sousa's "The Liberty Bell" is referenced in Earthbound's "Your Name, Please"
- The Beatles' "Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" is referenced in Earthbound's "Megaton Walk"
- The Beatles' "Deirdre" is referenced in Earthbound's "THE PLACE"
- Dmitri Shostakovich's "Symphony No. 6" is referenced in Mother 3's "Unfounded Revenge"
- Neal Hefti's "Batman Theme (1960)" could be referenced in Mother 3's "Mr. Batty Twist", not sure on that one.
there's a lot more, it's a very deep rabbit hole.

That's a pretty long list of suggestions, so I need some time to see if it matches what I meant in the description, since it excludes homages and straight-up references. It's meant to be a bit more abstract than that
@Tauranoro Understandable.
