This game has high highs and low lows. Playing as Bowser is profoundly fun. Since he can either shield or punch to have to commit to one or the other, making his dodge commands more engaging. His minion moves are also super fun. If the game was just him, this would be the best M&L. However, you also have to play as the bros for long plodding 2D sections and frustrating minigames. These sections suck the joy out of the game for me. I loved playing as Bowser, but it's only half the game.
