Easily the best of the NES Marios, this game rivals Super Mario World in both scope and quality. The game is massive with tons of fun levels many of which you have the freedom to play or not due to the world map introduced here. The gameplay also feels really good, and there's a big variety of power ups to mix things up which have you flying, throwing hammers, swimming fast, and more. The game is remarkable, and easily the best NES platformer.
