God of War is my first time playing a game in the franchise. Despite this they make a story that is easily and strongly compelling for both old and new players of the franchise.

The story is a well written tale of a father and son trying to bond and transitions Kratos from the brutal over the top god killer into a much older and wiser father figure.

Exploring the world is delightful. The combat is fun but challenging, the music is equally gorgeous and surrounds you completely and the story kept me fully engaged til the end.

I didn't feel terribly interested in engaging beyond in the post game content, but if you enjoyed the base game it has more for you to do even once the story is complete.
