The Last of Us… wow. I still gush over this game. What is there to say that hasn’t been said already? Nothing.
So if you’ve played it you probably know what I mean. And if you haven’t… don’t be like me and wait almost a decade to pick it up. Please. Just play it.

Max Payne 2 is great in just about every regard. It has fantastic gameplay, incredible writing, a great voice cast, cleverly crafted level designs, and one hell of a soundtrack/score.
It’s everything I loved from the first game in its purest return.

Though it doesn’t have a great story, Bully has just about everything else you could want from a game like this.
It’s incredible gameplay, ambitious open world, corky characters, and awesome collectibles make it an incredibly fun, endlessly rewarding play through experience.

The Last of Us: Left Behind is a brilliantly written DLC to the main game. It follows Ellie as she is attempting to help Joel survive during the events of the main game while also shifting to the day she was bitten, and everything that occurred.
It’s beautiful, heart breaking, and of course, terrifying. Love love love this.

A severely underrated cowboy game from the ps2 era, Gun manages to do everything the Red Dead series would eventually go on to master.
It has a great story, awesome gameplay, and a really cool little open world. It got me through Covid, and for that alone, I love it.

It’s cute, is gorgeous to look at, it’s really fun to play, and it actually kind of has its own little narrative going on? Yeah, this game rocks.
6
Superhot VR is as cool as it looks. It’s immersive, it’s exciting, it makes you feel like Neo from the matrix. It does everything a good VR game should, and it’s a blast to play.

Ultimate Spider-Man has one of the coolest art styles of all of the Spider-Man games I’ve played. It also translates its source material really well to a video game.
The gameplay is fun, the boss battles are unique, and the story is pretty damn cool.

Shattered Dimensions remains an awesome Spider-Man game with a really unique story. The gameplay isn’t as good as it could be, but it makes for an awesome play through non-the-less.
9
An awesome VR game with a really cool story, great gameplay mechanics, and a criminally short runtime.

Though a bit hollow with its useless open world, Web of Shadows was a pretty fun Spider-Man experience. Nice gameplay, cool characters, and a crazy premise allowed for a good experience. Even if linear storytelling would’ve been better suited.

Turtles in time was a fun arcade beat ‘em up that never became stale with its short runtime. Some cool levels, and fun enemies made it a great playthrough.
12
Cold Fear is a decent Resident Evil clone with some pretty cool moments, a decent story, and a cool shift in environment.
13
Though it has a gnarly cutscene and it could satisfy young fans of the character, the experience is both repetitive and disappointing for just about anyone else.

After the success of the second game and second movie, the game developers dropped the ball just like the film series it was based off of.
15
A nasty, underbaked, soul-less side scrolling spider-man experience with a disappointing ending.
