I still live in fear knowing that this was the first PlayStation 1 game I had ever played.

If you ever wanted a Guitar Hero game on Nintendo DS that featured horribly chipmunked covers of classic songs, atrocious graphics, and awkward bottom screen controls, then this is for you.

Very fun, it's one of the best MMO games I've played in a while.

It's kinda like VRChat, but better; cool peeps to meet and greet, tons of minigames, arcade games, crib customization, Steam Workshop support, hell, even emulation. The price tag for the game is admittedly too much, but I wouldn't say it's completely unjustifiable, there's so much to offer in the £17 price tag to the point it's essentially worth every penny in the end.

Definitely recommend trying this out with a friend or two.

"Sonic Blast? It should've been called Sonic Slow Ass" - The Angry Video Game Nerd, 2013

Literally just the exact game as the first one, but redesigned all the levels to make them more frustrating and removed the multiplayer, this shit wasn't fun to sit through at all.

Not the biggest Call of Duty fan of all time, but I have a lot of fond memories with Black Ops 2. My cousin would always bring it along with him to my house, and we'd always play the zombie mode everytime. It was hella fun, and it still is.

Played with @Allistayrian and @Dreadblocks 😘

Killing worms is my passion.

(This review is mainly focusing on the Special Edition of the game that was released in 2009)

As a kid, I was never really a diehard fan of point and click adventure games, I never played much of them. However, this game, and the sequel, was an exception, my dad bought it (idk whether he bought it for me or not, lol) and decided to let me have a go at it. Needless to say, my 5 year old self was mind-blown when he saw it, I wasn't particularly good at the game because I was so young at the time, and it took me YEARS to figure out how to actually beat the game (for the record, I first played this all the way back in 2010, and it didn't take me til 6 years later when I finally finished the game), and when I finally did finish the game, I wasn't disappointed in the absolute slightest.

The first thing that caught my attention was the game's humour which consists of witty dialogue, verbal humour, and hilarious antics, with a little silliness and self-awareness added to the mix. This is the type of humour I adore, every scene in the game never failed to make me smile, chuckle, or burst out in laughter. I enjoyed every single character in this game, Guybrush is a charming protagonist, and his quirky personality and interactions with the people around him entertained me thoroughly, and LeChuck is an excellent villain, he's both completely and utterly evil and also threatening for the characters ingame whilst also being funny and unforgettable for the viewers. I could go and on, and on, and on about each individual funny moment that the excellent dialogue and writing has to offer, but that would take up the entirety of the review.

Another thing I enjoy is the problem solving. The main reason why I was never a huge fan of problem solving video games in general is mainly because a majority of games way too hard to make them as cryptic and hard to figure out as possible, and as an autistic person myself, my attention span is pretty bad, and I am simply not good as memorising shit or figuring out puzzles like that. Monkey Island, however, doesn't try that; the puzzles, while not super obvious to figure out, are not too difficult to solve, they demand creative thinking and never veer to the realm of them being just frustrating, it has the right balance. When I was a kid, I never could solve any of them, but as I got older, I started to memorise them much more, to the point where I managed to get it down to a T, and figure out exactly how to solve everything and to beat the game.

Not to mention, can I just also comment about the music and sound environment? It's beautiful, they perfectly set the tone and mood of the action that takes place (the theme song is absolute banger and you can’t convince me overwise). I especially love the ambience in places where the music is faded away, and the game allows you to have this feeling tranquility as you listen to the sounds of the peaceful ambience in the area that you're in (honestly surprised there has never been hour long chill out YouTube videos of the video game's ambience).

The Secret of Monkey Island is a timeless classic, an absolute gem in the world of point-and-click video gaming. If you somehow didn't understand my feelings of the game, just go buy it yourself, and make up your own mind, you won't regret it, trust me.

It's a pretty fun game, but hot damn, the AI rubber banding almost kills the fun factor for me.

I never really got why people didn't like the 3D Worms games all that much

"We need Animal Crossing amiibo!" - Nintendo

That's literally the only reason why they made this game, something that should have just been a free game on the Nintendo eShop, managed to somehow become a full retail game you can buy on disk, that you can't even play unless own the Amiibo. Nice cash-grab.

Aged pretty terribly, tbh. It's clunky af, the turning feels off, half of the items barley work from time to time, there's little variety in the track selection, and there's very little to do in the game in general. I get that it was the first game and it was kind of revolutional for it's time, but I simply can't look back at this game fondly compared to every other game in the series.

This game holds a very special place in my heart, not just as a video game, but as an experience.

The first LittleBigPlanet game was fairly standard and straight foward, but it was an absolute blast from start to finish, regardless. I was a lil toddler when I first played it all the way back in 2009 and it was so much fun breezing through the story mode and playing all the community made levels, and my five year old self was so excited for LittleBigPlanet 2 when I first saw the trailer back in 2010. When the game finally came out, I played it, and… it blew me away. It was hard to describe my sheer happiness and joy when I launched up the game, but all I can say was that the game put me in such a good mood throughout my entire hour(?) of playing.

It feels and plays exactly like the first game, which you may be thinking "Wait, so they reused everything, isn’t that a bad thing?". Well, my friend, no. LittleBigPlanet 2 basically took everything that made the first game amazing, and adds even more to the table, especially with the level creator. The first game's level creator was good enough, but this one throws the first game's level creator out of the window. They've added in a whole new range of power-ups, microchips, new music, and many more. Normally, I'm not really a fan of tutorial levels, but when it comes to this game, I simply adore listening to Stephen Fry's narration through the tutorials, as a matter of fact, I replay the tutorials for that sole reason, even though I already know how to play the game, lol. I could listen to them all day.

The story has never always been the most important part of the games, but the game's story is actually very fun. It embarks on Sackboy meeting a guy named Larry Da Vinci after nearly getting sucked up by the Negativitron, a giant vacuum monster who's sole purpose to harm the peaceful planet of Craftworld, and they create an alliance for everyone to work together to take down the Negativitron. The first game had a very simple straight forward story, the story is still relatively simple here, but there's a lot more going to it and it has a lot of personality that really shines from it, and I really like that, I can connect with all of these characters and remember them all.

The story isn't just the best part, the other best part is the community. Well, unfortunately, half of the community levels consisted of copy and pasted Shark Survival and Bomb Survival levels that we've seen over and over again, or those fake levels where they claim to give you "free DLC" if you give the level five stars and a heart, but, ignoring the toxic side, the bright side of the community was just… well… amazing! Like, there was just so many levels by the community that are just… well-made, like, I can't tell you how many times I've launched the game, went on the community levels tab, and just browsed through the different levels to find good ones to pick out. Me and my sister have probably spent countless hours playing all these random community-made levels and they were so much fun, I've never quite had the same experience as something like that in my life, and that's another reason why this game truly means so much to me. Each level was like a new experience every single time.

There's just so much to love about this game, it's one of my favourite games of all time for a reason, I'll always look back at this game with fond memories.

Complete and utter waste of money and time, I can't even come up with a clever insult to describe my frustration with "Saints Row (2022)", frankly, it doesn't even deserve a clever insult, that'd be an insult to insults.

I myself, am a huge fan of the Saints Row games; Saints Row 2 is one of my favourite video games of all time, but why is that the case, you may ask? It has what you want in an open world game; fun gameplay, a great story, variety of activities, weapons, and customization, and a great open world map, I could ramble on and on about why I love this game. Sooooo, Violition, why couldn't you have done something like this again? Oh that's right, we don't actually care for the fans, we just want money!!!

For a "Saints Row" game, it hardly fucking feels like Saints Row, the gameplay and feel of everything is more reminiscence of smth like Agents of Mayhem, another Violition game which failed financially unfortunately. The combat is so clunky and overly complicated here, instead of having a simple aim and shoot mechanic that EVERY SINGLE Saints Row game had, they add all of these complicated systems; you can't even kill them in one hit, instead you have to drain their health bar, and then take them down with a long ass finishing move, this isn't fun at all, and it ruins the gameplay even more. If you can fuck up as something as simple as combat, you know you're already playing awful game.

The open world map? Well... I have mixed opinions on the map, it's beautifully designed, the scenery and layout of the map is hoenslty not that bad. Yeah, I don't mind the map, it's kind of fun to explore and to admire all the sceneries. My main problem with the map are the exact same complaints I have with Steelport in Saints Row 3 and 4; a lack of shit to do in them. There are no enterable buildings, no interesting NPCs doing various activities, no objects to pick up, throw, and use as a Melee weapon, no secret islands, no emotion whatsoever. It's kinda like marketing bait, the map fools you into thinking that there'll be alot of crazy shit to do in this huge environment, but really, there's absolutely nothing to do here. Yeah, the scenery is gorgeous, but that almost means nothing in the end when you go ahead and play the actual game to see what the map is like for yourself.

Ugh, and the story is just... well, I barely even pay attention to any of the shit that goes on in the story because it's just so awful. Basically, the premise is that you're a group of millinuenals, and you're working for a criminal organisation to pay off student loans... who the fuck approved this? Sir, I play video games to distract myself from life, not to be reminded that it sucks. All of the characters are insufferable af too, I can't remember the names of half of them and I don't even care to. It's the most anti-Saints Row I have ever seen and all of these characters just piss me off regardless, I garuentee even if you separated the Saints Row name away from the title, the entire game would still be an awful pile of shit. The story fails at being a Saints Row story, and it fails as a video game story in general.

I just want to say for the record, the reason why I'm mad about the game is not just because it isn't like the old games at all, I'm mad because the game itself is terrible. I could have at least forgiven the story if the game was fun. But it's not fun at all! There isn't any variety in any of the missions, it's all your typical "protect yourself in combat" or "protect your homie as they go from A to B". They're not fun at all, they're lazy and half-arsed, it pisses me off how this is all that they could come up with for a game called "Saints Row", a game franchise that is well-known for all of it's crazy shit that you can do in free roam and in the missions and activities.

It takes me alot to get angry at a piece of media, and I think this game managed to achieve that record. It's the laziest piece of shit I have ever played in my entire life, there's not one redeeming quality about it, I can't fathom why anyone in their entire life would be able to enjoy this game, it's lazy at best and corporate greed at worst, Violition and Deep Silver clearly have no respect for their dedicated fans who have stuck with them for nearly a decade and a half now, I simply have no respect for anyone behind this game, how can I support a video game when the company who made can't even show any proper dignity towards their fans, it makes me mad that they can get away with shit like this. People say that the franchise couldn't get any worse after 3 and 4, I won't deny that Saints Row 4 did feel more like a bizarre paordy of the Saints Row games than an actual true Saints Row sequel, but I was at least able to unironically enjoy the gameplay and ironically enjoy the story for how wacky, ridiculous, and non-sensical it is, and Saints Row 3 was unironically alot of fun too, even if it felt like a downgrade from the previous game. This game? There's nothing to admire about it, I didn't enjoy anything about it, not even on the most ironic levels, it wasn't even "so bad it's good", it was "so bad it's bad", it's an insult to longtime fans, and it's insult to the gaming industry in general. Don't buy this game, period.

Plumbers Don't Wear Ties is a masterpiece from start to finish, the voice acting is beautiful, the photography is stunning, the gameplay is like no other, and the story? Don't even get me started, it's the most mind-blowing and engaging video game story I have ever seen, it made me feel emotions, and I cannot applaud it enough for it. In conclusion, Plumbers Don't Wear Ties is worth it, it's truly the video game of all time.
