Everything's shorter! Super Circuit? More like Short Circuit! The tracks are shorter, the trophy-winning screen is shorter (thankfully much much more so than the Nintendo 64 MK), the uh, game cartridge I guess is shorter cause it's a GBA game, the graphics resolution is shorter for the same reason... Wario is a little shorter I think

God DAYUM this game is solid for a GBA game, and it has such a sweet theme tune!

Underrated and I'm tired of people hating on it. I'm sorry you got spoiled on Mario Kart Wii as a kid, but this game actually requires SKILL against cheating AI.

The music in this game fills me with heavy amounts of nostalgia. God, I spent way too long in there making some godawful microgames, but I do not regret a moment of it.

when I was 14 I composed a cover of Lose Yourself in the WarioWare D.I.Y. music maker that instantly kills anyone who hears it

My biggest complaints with this game were the lack of diversity in campaign missions, and the fact that the AI cheats in Fog of War maps (Edit: this is fixed in the Switch remake, so I would recommend that version). Still not a bad game by any means, just know that the later games in the series are much better.

Cute fun lil' strategy game with a final map that goes on for over an hour despite being a GBA game.

I oddly enough started playing this five months before the remake was announced out of boredom. Only decided to finish it off now and I can say that given the critical praise, this is overrated and is definetly not the best thing in the world. Simple gameplay and simple plot, but still makes for something good to play if you want to feel angry. Anyways stan Max peace.

I kind of like going back and forth between this series and Fire Emblem and noticing the different strategies you have to employ to succeed.
It feels liberating not having to worry about your units dying, since they can be replaced, or the risk of being underlevelled.
Your and your opponent's units may have slightly different stats, but most of the game feels fair, even though the odds might be stacked against you on some maps.
Advance Wars's unit health = attack power mechanic forces you to play aggressively, which I really like.
Oh, and the music slaps hard.
I'm really looking forward to the remake.

An amazing strategy game that is fun in its simplicity. While the last level of the campaign felt a little bit cheap, I'm still very excited to start Advance Wars 2.

This is what introduced me to turn-based strategy games. It got pretty dang hard towards the end though.

Advance Wars is a a really fun strategy game. Every level is like trying to win a tough chess match. Trying to get high ranks is very satisfying and makes the game very replayable.

Absolutely recommended.
