Top Three Favorite Songs From Every Metallica Album

Best viewed on desktop, and visualized through covers. Lulu isn't a real album, and I'm not making a RYM account.

I'm not the hugest KEA fanatic, but I'd be lying if I said it didn't kick ass. I will say I actually like Mechanix more than Four Horsemen, so that's a Dave W.

By far the best production that any Metallica album ever had. I wish every fucking metal song sounded like it, but then that'd just make Ride less cool wouldn't it?

It's seriously a toss up between this and Ride for the best normally for me, ignoring those weird times where I want to put Justice or Load on a pedestal instead. The production isn't as good as Ride and track quality isn't as consistent, but Disposable Heroes is such a good fuckin' song that it single-handedly gives it hands against Ride.

Justice for Jason and whatnot, but I really gotta be in a mood for Justice. I sometimes love/hate the length of the songs, but I dunno man, I'm weird. Sometimes I love the shit out of Justice, and sometimes I'm indifferent towards it.

Mood is a bitch sometimes.

To say I've been overexposed to the hits on this album would be putting it lightly, but it's still great.

Painfully overhated. A terrible metal album no doubt, but one of the greatest blues rock albums ever created, and no I am not biased out of sheer nostalgia. After all, I keep myself in check around the black album.

A few more hits lumped with a bunch of b-sides that I don't super care for. I do have a soft spot for Low Man's Lyric though.

Funny fuckin' album. Like goddamn, it's got it's own sound at least, I'll give it that much and the cover art genuinely slaps.

I was originally not too hot on this one, but after a bunch of re-listens in full it's actually pretty good? I think it starts pretty weak, but the second half is pretty strong I feel, Judas Kiss is painfully underrated though.

It's baffling how much they botched on this being a complete package. Instead it's one disc of mostly decent stuff, and then a second disc that's Spit Out The Bone and a bunch of mid. They made their best song since One, and they couldn't get over selling their fanbase their shitty b-sides and lumped it with those so we had to listen to them if we want to listen to the good shit.

I couldn't tell you a single a note that I could remember from this. It was insanely forgettable, and it's a shame that I could actually place this below St. Anger with the caveat that at least St. Anger was memorable.

Glad to see the Unforgiven trilogy gettin its dues. I'm with ya on St. Anger over the later releases though - I even find myself revisiting St. Anger every once in a while just out of fascination, or maybe just because it's their only album that I haven't imprinted directly into my brainfolds yet so it still seems a bit "fresh" by comparison lol

@zeroesandones oh I just put this in release order, but yeah, st. anger is at least endearing in a "what were they cooking?" kind of way. It probably comes off fanboyish, but their last one is probably the only album that legit just bounces right off me. I kind of almost appreciate how much they changed their style over the years.

Creeping Deck 😂
These game choices are hilarious, brilliant idea

You're so fucking right about Ride The Lightning. For years it was the album I used to convince non-metalheads to see the genre's greatness.

Also glad to see Death Magnetic get some love.

@thealexmott a lot of these were pretty easy, but then it got pretty difficult later with friend of misery and wherever I may roam, I almost wanted to use enter sandman anyway so I could use a funny spider-man lcd game.

@MiraMiraOTW god, imagine being completely unknown to the genre and listening to less heavy stuff your entire life, and suddenly hearing Fight Fire With Fire as an opener, like goddamn. The perfect "you're in for some awesomeness" type attitude.

the breakdown cover art to indicate st anger made me blurt-laugh

@LarryDavis It came to me like Lars' pounding on the snare drum after a bit of thinking while I was generically searching for "anger".
