This was my first outing into the MH series and I couldn't be more impressed. Solid combat with tons of variety, lots of vast open areas to explore with tons of secrets too reward learning the terrain, and an amazing gameplay loop that keeps me coming back for more.

My only criticism is that the main game is far too short and ends with no real development. I understand that these types of games receive constant quest updates, but that's no excuse for a weaker base.
