Essentially everyone died or got infected except Dylan so I definitely did not get a good ending but I still mostly enjoyed myself. I appreciate the game's abundance of alternate paths where anyone can die or survive, but the game just felt lackluster in its writing. It's obviously reminiscent of "Until Dawn," choice-based gameplay and its definitely quite nice in that regard. However, I must admit that the dialogue and writing left much to be desired; they often induced significant cringing during my playthrough. Despite these shortcomings, I strangely found myself enjoying the game, while still recognizing its flaws. It's basically a good "bad" game, thanks to its stellar graphics and the significant impact choices have on the narrative.

Unfortunately, my playthrough ended on a rather dismal note with most characters dying. The revelation that the clues and evidence found throughout the game are only presented as a podcast in the concluding moments felt underwhelming. While it was intriguing to hear the discussions regarding the evidence, I couldn't shake off the feeling of dissatisfaction with the ending. I understand their attempt to be meta by suggesting ambiguity, akin to a traditional ghost story, but making that the "ending" was ultimately unsatisfying. It would have been preferable if the conclusion had been more conclusive, but alas, it fell short in that regard. I'm hopeful that the "good" ending offers a more satisfying resolution, although I've heard it's lacking as well, which is disappointing.

The game, akin to "Until Dawn," harbors a brilliant concept, but unfortunately, it falters in execution. I'll definitely give it another completion run and we'll see if that changes my opinion. Overall, regardless of how cringe it can be at times, I still enjoyed my time. Granted, I played this on game-pass and I certainly would not pay full price for it though.
