this is a pretty damn significant game in the franchise, and i can't wait for the sequel :) however it also loses some of what i love about the franchise - i actually really enjoy getting items that gradually unlock parts of the world, rather than having access to all of it at once. it's the appeal of metroid for me, as well - getting something and realising that i can get through to something that drew my eye before. also i think the sequel should let me do more little tasks for people. i love my little tasks.
