this is easily one of the best entries in the franchise, it's just constantly SO fucking fun to play. the dense and vertical level design is immaculate, and there's so many interesting collectibles, npcs to talk to, and sidequests that there is literally always something catching your attention and pulling you off into another direction. combat's really awesome as well, god bless smirk being gone that mechanic was so boring

story and characters basically dont exist but it doesn't really detract from the game at all. ign chuds might say it has no heart because of this, but you'll find that there is a fuck ton of soul poured into the world of this game and its demon inhabitants that the human characters sucking ass doesn't even matter

oh yea also the music is 10/10 and doi got way better at designing demons
