Games That Claim To Be Final But Then Wasn't
Games that in some way indicated that they were the end of a series or the final version of something only for there to be more games or versions released. Not counting series like Final Fight or Final Fantasy as that's a titular brand rather than any claim of finality.

Another Century's Episode III: The Final was followed by Another Century's Episode: R in 2010.
Army Men: World War - Final Front is far from the last Army Men game but it was not even the last Army Men: World War game released that same year!
This one is a bit different. Despite claiming to be "complete", there were more content released for Europa Universalis III after 2007 and as such this is incomplete with more complete releases existing since.
While technically not canon, Final DOOM was quite clearly marketed as the final DOOM game. It would be followed by several DOOM games as well as direct sequels to its own two episodes; TNT: Evilution and The Plutonia Experiment.
Despite being touted as the final chapter, Five Nights at Freddy's 4 was followed by a sequel, Sister Location, just one year later.
Langrisser V: The End of Legend did remain the "the end" of the legendary Langrisser series for quite some time, until the series revival with Langrisser Re:Incarnation Tensei in 2015.
R-Type Final has several sequels, including the most recent aptly named R-Type Final 2.
Not content with the contradiction of being both the first and final chapter, Star Gladiator Episode I: Final Crusade did get a direct sequel, Plasma Sword: Nightmare of Bilstein, as well.
Super Fire Pro Wrestling III: Final Bout received a sequel two years later in Super Fire Pro Wrestling X.
Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation was intended to close the entire franchise out forever by killing off Lara. A sequel bringing her back from the dead was released a year later, Tomb Raider: Chronicles.
Turrican II: The Final Fight would receive many sequels, starting with Turrican 3 just two years later.
Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown was, ironically, followed up with an updated release called Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown. Ultimate trumps final I guess?
Ys II: The Final Chapter was followed by several games with the most recent numbered game being Ys IX: Monstrum Nox.
YuYu Hakusho Final remained the last video game based on the popular manga for many years after 1995, but from 2003 to 2007 several more games released.
