A pretty incredible game. Gameplay isn't perfect and not nearly as good as other melee action games but not bad at all. Had a great time almost the entire way through

The presentation is incredible. The game is a damn looker and the many varied environments are all fairly well realised. The only thing holding the game back is some performance issues especially on the first planet you visit after the prologue. So many elements of the Star Wars franchise are faithfully represented and recreated in this game so well. I only wish there was ray tracing for this game which would make it even better. The music is fantastic and emulates the traditional orchestral style that is emblematic of the series pretty well. The sound design is no slouch either especially with the light saber sounds. The game does suffer a fair bit from jank and a few glitches and bugs. Nothing game breaking or repeating but there were a few visual glitches, especially with animations, and AI issues. Some of the cutscenes also tend to not consider a smooth transition from gameplay and it comes off a bit amateurish

The combat gameplay is one of the less well developed elements. There's some weirdness to the combat as the game seems to maintain a much longer action "queue" than is reasonable and your character might do something a full second after you press the button if they get locked into another animation. It also feels quite clunky especially in comparison to other Souls-likes because the animations and hits are not hitbox or physics based and can phase through or not have any effect when it should. All that said, it's definitely not bad and you get a fair few Force powers to play with and most are quite useful with different enemies. There's definitely a degree of strategy involved and you will die if you're not careful

The exploration and the maps are EXCELLENT. Three of the maps are HUGE and have a fair few puzzles, combat sections, bosses and powers to find and unlock. All the maps contain a ton of secrets locked away with powers you get later on through story beats in the form of chests that unlock cosmetics or more "stims" which is the healing resource in the game. They are all extremely well designed with shortcuts that snake throughout that let you skip to further sections more easily though your way will invariably be blocked by enemies.

The story is honestly one of the best parts of the game and one of the best Star Wars stories out there. I'm not much of a fan of the movies (I like the prequel trilogy more than the OT though the sequel trilogy is trash) or the Mandalorian series and I've not watched the Clone Wars saga though I've heard it was quite good. This game honestly captures a lot of the essence of the space opera and executes the quintessential Hero's Journey excellently. Our character grows and learns from those around him and isn't a Gary Stu who just grows in power and beats everyone. This game actually has some superb emotional moments with some of the characters recollecting awful tragedy and horrors they've been through and I couldn't help but tear up through one section. The ensemble cast is excellent and provide great support to the main character. The antagonists are also very memorable and all have their own fairly well developed backstories and motivations

If you like Star Wars stories, you would not want to miss out on this game. If you like action or exploration games this one is a fairly well executed one. There's a fair bit of jank and weird bugs and some technical issues but what's on display here is pretty great stuff. I am hoping for a sequel and I hope they deliver another great game if it happens
