Definitely recommend for fans of the souls franchise. Probably even a good place to jump into the franchise due to the PS5 hints.

This game felt like playing an interactive Dungeons n Dragons game. So many unique environments were created while still feeling cohesive as a world, a trait a lot of games lack. This one I didn't find nearly as hard as the other souls games even though you only have one checkpoint per boss. If you are familiar with how the games play it shouldn't be such a challenge but it's still fun.

The game looks incredible and runs so smooth. The atmosphere in this might be my favorite in the whole franchise.

The boss fights in this are memorable, though much different from the typical boss fights from the series. Most bosses are set up as unique puzzles, and it's up to you to find out how to beat them. They usually have a special quirk that once you find out makes the fight over fairly quickly. Which isn't a knock on the game. I quite like that. But there's also a few bosses that are just straight battles, which are a nice change of pace.

Pretty much the whole game was consistently good. Only area I didn't really like was the valley of defilement. The poison lake was obnoxious, it was pretty uninspired to travel, and the bosses were very easy to take down.
