Good review. Totally agree about presentation and the battle system. For me the story held it back - I think having eight separate stories in tandem was ambitious but overall lacking and disconnected from each other - but the game looked and played great.

Have you tried Triangle Strategy. Personally very into it. Has the same strengths as Octopath with a story I'm enjoying a lot more.
