@moschidae
it's very unfortunate. it didn't have to be this way

@theia
on one hand wrangling the stylus mid bossfight to draw symbols is something I'll never get used to. on the other hand I never touched a DS in my life until yesterday and I feel like one of those old timers who tried wii sports and had their entire world turned upside down when it lets me do stuff like sign my name and break blocks with the touch screen

Take me back to when dev teams weren't doing baby shit like ""trying to naturally integrate hardware gimmicks into their games"" and instead did sick awesome cool moves like make an entire separate drawing tablet to do dope kung fu as Po from Kung Fu Panda.

I've cooled on DoS over the years but man the downstep still gets to me. Going from one of the most tightly made video games ever made to a game that's sorta good but too long and loose in its teeth is a tough feeling to get over. Been meaning to give it another chance though, particularly with the Definitive Edition+ patch.

I'd never seen this before but I'm gonna go ahead and say this kicks ass in a big way

aria's a tough act to follow but what I miss the most from the gba trilogy is how each of them went in completely different directions. it makes sense for the most polite and well rounded of the three to have a very buttoned up sequel, but it's a little more familiar than I'd like. still having a good time, but I hope the other ds games are a little more experimental
